City brought their number of consecutive wins against German clubs to seven on April 6 following their 2-1 victory over Dortmund thanks to goals from Kevin De Bruyne in the 19th minute and Phil Foden in the 90th. Dortmund have now lost their last six games against English clubs, but a Marco Reus goal six minutes from time leaves Borussia with high hopes.

Dortmund have failed in their last two UEFA Champions League quarterfinals but have three semi-qualifiers in six attempts. City are in the quarter-finals for the fourth consecutive season but their last three campaigns have all ended at this point. The Citizens only reached the semi-finals once, in 2015/16.
