This algerian player could play the AFCON 2022

If some serious doubts had been expressed about his physical condition, Sofiane Feghouli is better. The Greens midfielder resumed solo training yesterday.

After the postponement of the departure of the national team for Douala, Cameroon, in anticipation of the CAN TotalEnergies 2021, and in accordance with what was decided in the preparation program for the day, the Greens were invited to a session of daytime training last Thursday, the day after their friendly success against Ghana (3-0).

For this, the workforce was split into two groups: on the one hand, the players who did not take part in the match against the Black Stars were the first to start the session around 2:00 pm; and on the other, those lined up at the entrance, joined the Al Egla sports complex, half an hour later.

They were satisfied with a light jog then a series of stretching and sheathing exercises under the leadership of Rémi Salim Lancou in order to recover well from their efforts of the day before. The rest of the group followed a full session with a multitude of technical workshops, with and without ball, toros and many other well-chosen ranges, with Serge Romano and Amara Merouani at the helm.

For their part, the three guards, Oukidja, Zeghba and Medjadel were under the leadership of Mohamed Bengamou, while Aziz Bouras took particular care of Raïs M’bolhi.

The good news is Sofiane Feghouli who touched up the ball again, even if it is still solo, which augurs a return to the group in the coming days. The Galatasaray midfielder should be available for the Greens’ second meeting against Guinea Bissau.
