Algerian star Riyad Mahrez returned his Manchester City team in the result of the match against Borussia Dortmund, at Signal Iduna Park, in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
And after Dortmund surprised the guests by scoring an early goal in the 15th minute through Judy Bellingham, Riyad succeeded in adjusting the score in the 55th minute of the penalty spot.
According to Opta numbers , Riyad finished a march of 14 matches in the Champions League, without scoring for Manchester City, after he scored today, his first goal in the competition since September 2019 in front of Shakhtar Donetsk.
Mahrez also scored his third goal from the penalty mark in the Champions League, as he had previously scored two kicks in the net against Club Brugge.
It is noteworthy that Manchester City settled the first leg at home last week, by winning (2-1).
